Your First Visit — Step by Step
We know visiting a new healthcare provider can feel uncertain — especially if you’ve never been to a chiropractor before. That’s why we’ve made your first visit as simple and stress-free as possible. Here’s exactly what to expect when you walk through our door.
Your initial consultation is completely free. There’s no obligation to continue treatment, no high-pressure sales, and no commitment required. We believe that once you experience the difference chiropractic care makes, you’ll want to continue — and most patients do.
What Happens at Your First Visit
Welcome & Paperwork (5 minutes)
You’ll fill out a brief health history form covering your current symptoms, medical history, and health goals. You can also download and complete these forms in advance to save time.
Consultation with Dr. Todd (10–15 minutes)
Dr. Todd will sit down with you one-on-one to understand your pain, how it started, what makes it better or worse, and what you’ve tried before. This conversation is the foundation of your care — he genuinely wants to understand your situation.
Spinal Examination (10–15 minutes)
A hands-on evaluation of your spine, posture, range of motion, and nervous system function. Dr. Todd will identify any misalignments, muscle tension, or nerve interference contributing to your symptoms.
Diagnosis & Treatment Plan
Dr. Todd will explain exactly what he found, what’s causing your pain, and outline a personalized treatment plan. He’ll be upfront about how many visits he recommends and what results you can expect.
Your First Adjustment (if appropriate)
In most cases, Dr. Todd can begin treatment on your very first visit. Many patients walk out feeling noticeably better. The adjustment is gentle, precise, and takes just a few minutes.
What to Bring
✓ Photo ID
A valid driver’s license or state ID for our records. This is standard for all new patients at any healthcare office.
✓ Insurance Card
If you have health insurance with chiropractic coverage, bring your card. We’ll verify your benefits before any charges — no surprises.
✓ Comfortable Clothing
Wear clothes you can move comfortably in. Avoid tight jeans or restrictive clothing. No need to change into a gown — we’ll work around what you’re wearing.
Insurance & Payment
We accept most major insurance plans that include chiropractic coverage. Our staff will verify your benefits before your first visit so you know exactly what’s covered and what your out-of-pocket costs will be.
Insurance plans we commonly work with: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Humana, Medicare, auto insurance (PIP/Med-Pay), and workers’ compensation. If you don’t see your plan listed, call us — we likely accept it.
No insurance? No problem. We offer affordable self-pay rates and will discuss costs upfront before any treatment begins. Your initial consultation is free regardless of insurance status.
Auto accidents: If you’ve been in a car accident, your auto insurance typically covers 100% of your chiropractic care. We handle the paperwork and bill your auto insurance directly — you pay nothing out of pocket in most cases.

What if I’m nervous about getting adjusted?

Do I need to be in pain to see a chiropractor?

Can I bring my kids?
