Other Payment Options
Auto Insurance (PIP/MedPay)
If you’ve been in a car accident, your auto insurance PIP or MedPay coverage pays for chiropractic treatment regardless of fault. We verify your auto coverage and bill directly.
Attorney Liens
For personal injury and auto accident cases, we accept attorney liens. This means you get treated now and payment comes from your settlement — no out-of-pocket cost during treatment.
Self-Pay / Cash Patients
No insurance? No problem. We offer affordable self-pay rates for patients without insurance coverage. We discuss all costs upfront before any treatment begins so there are never any surprises.
Understanding Your Chiropractic Benefits
What does insurance typically cover for chiropractic?
Most insurance plans cover chiropractic adjustments, examinations, and X-rays. Some plans also cover therapeutic exercises and other services. Coverage varies by plan — number of visits allowed, copay amounts, and deductible requirements differ. We verify all of this before your first visit.
Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?
In Texas, you do not need a referral from your primary care doctor to see a chiropractor. You can schedule directly with us. Some insurance plans (particularly HMOs) may have referral requirements — we’ll check this when we verify your benefits.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring your insurance card, a valid photo ID, and any relevant medical records or imaging (X-rays, MRI reports). For auto accident patients, bring your auto insurance information and police report if available.
Does Medicare cover chiropractic?
Yes. Medicare Part B covers chiropractic adjustments (manual manipulation of the spine) when medically necessary to correct a subluxation. Dr. Stranahan is a Medicare-participating provider. Medicare does not cover X-rays, examinations, or other services from chiropractors, but supplemental coverage may apply.
I’m not sure if my insurance covers chiropractic. What should I do?
